ÃÈÃÃÉçÇø has charged licensed jockey Charlotte Kerton and licensed trainer George Prodromou with beaches of the Rules of Racing, in relation to the running and riding of VALMARI (IRE) in the betdaq.co.uk Handicap Stakes at Kempton on 16^th April 2010, after the Stewards found the jockey in breach of Rule (B) 59.2 and deemed the trainer to be in breach of Rule (C)45.4 following a Stewards Enquiry.

The Disciplinary Panel will consider whether or not Charlotte Kerton is in breach of Rule (B)59.2, and whether or not George Prodromou is in breach of Rule (C)45 in that she intentionally failed to ensure that VALMARI (IRE) ran on its merits. 

The hearing will take place at 10am on Tuesday 4^th May at the offices of the British Horseracing Authority.

3.            The Guideline Penalties if they are found in breach are:

Jockey – a suspension of 28 to 90 days with an entry point of 42.

Trainer – a fine of £5,000 to £30,000,with an entry point of £7,500

If both jockey and trainer are found in breach the horse will be suspended from running for 40 days.

4.           The investigation into the betting patterns following the running of Timeteam at Lingfield on 22^nd January 2010 and Trip Switch at Lingfield on 27^th January 2010 is ongoing.  Both horses were ridden by Charlotte Kerton and trained by George Prodromou.

5.           Following the running of Trip Switch at Lingfield on the 27^th January 2010, Charlotte Kerton was found in breach of Rule (B)59.4 in that she failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures to ensure Trip Switch achieved the best possible placing.  She was suspended for 10 days.
